Last week was a real productive week for me. I got a lot done and finally got a chance to start on the promo piece for the launch of Brainsss.  However if today is anything to go by this week isn’t going to be one of the productive weeks.

Maybe there’s a ebb and flow to this? Maybe I’m just in a slow part of the flow?

So I was going through testing a new feature I was working on for Brainsss and I needed to play one of our survival maps without using any cheats (i.e. code hacks to complete/advance). I found myself replaying the level not because I had to but because I wanted to try out a different game-play strategy.  Wait! I was having fun! I always had faith in the fun of our game but there’s always a little bit of insecurity on actually how fun the game really will be once it’s got all the features. No bulls**t, it’s actually really fun! I can’t wait till we get it out there for others to play! Nice one Yeong!

We recently we’re in the market for a new sound effects artist and decided to post the job around the various forums and message boards.  Within  about a week or so we had collected a large amount of applications and proceeded to filter out the potentials.  While most of the applicants were talented, I did notice a distinct lack of focus on the key parts we specified in the job advert.

Software upgrades come down the pipe frequently but they are a double edged sword. Firstly they provide new features and tools but also potentially introduce new issues that can potentially derail production.
