Last week was a real productive week for me. I got a lot done and finally got a chance to start on the promo piece for the launch of Brainsss.  However if today is anything to go by this week isn’t going to be one of the productive weeks.

Maybe there’s a ebb and flow to this? Maybe I’m just in a slow part of the flow?

I’ve made reference to the saying “art/programming/anything is never finished only ever abandoned” and no more is this truer* than when you are completing something for a competition. Most people will work right up until the last minute  fixing, tweaking and even adding features. The smart studios out there will typically enter into a ‘lockdown’ mode whereby no one is able to actually submit anything new to the build without a producer seal of approval first.

Have you ever had somebody start talking to you, and you just have no idea what they’re talking about?  Like the words aren’t meant for you, they’re meant for the wall behind you.

Sometimes Rod gets all excited and wants to show me what he’s been working on.  Its really cool when he’s showing off a new feature, but sometimes… just sometimes, he starts showing me code.

I’m going to be evolving the site a little bit to provide a better front page (landing), fill in other background details. I am also going to add a couple new features to the posts that should hopefully allow commenting as well as galleries for our soon to be released content.

You can play perfectly, setup a great play but still get busted at the end by a bad turn of the cards. Games similarly can be developed making all the right decisions, you can have a great idea and/or a great IP  but because of timing or other external factors the game disappears into the ether.
