The deadline for shipping is fast approaching and with all projects there comes a time where cuts need to be made in order to ship the product. In the case of Brainsss, we had very lofty, yet achievable goals for our game, but some of our ideas, we just don’t have the time to implement. I thought I’d share some of the features we’re cutting and why. Last week was a real productive week for me. I got a lot done and finally got a chance to start on the promo piece for the launch of Brainsss. However if today is anything to go by this week isn’t going to be one of the productive weeks. Maybe there’s a ebb and flow to this? Maybe I’m just in a slow part of the flow? Zombies zombies zombies… Damn, time really flies. Where did November even go? Maybe it was because of the holiday but the month sure did disappear into thin air. I even worked through most of the holiday. |

I was thinking about the definition of pre-production. In films, pre-production is the period where the story is being fleshed out, concepts for the movie are being painted, and story boards are being drawn. One pre-production is finished, things are locked for the most part, and shooting begins.
